Cyclamenno Kaori (Fragrance of Cyclamen), 1975

A good friend of mine from Tokyo gave me a compilation CD as a gift when she visited Singapore. Chie is a big fan of Akira Fuse. Akira Fuse started his singing career in 1965. This is his most popular song and remembered by his fans till now. Fragrance of Cyclamen remains his iconic song which won many awards like Japan Records Awards in 1975. He is one of Japan's top artistes.

I'm very impressed with this number.

Thanks Chie!

MANHA DE CARNAVAL
by Rudy Djoharnaen

I do not speak Portuguese but I really like this song. Please pardon me for any mistakes. I tried..haha.
The original singer was Elizeth Cordosa. Composed by Luiz Bonfa and Antonio Maria for a 1959 Brazilian film 'Black Orpheus'.

MANHA DE CARNAVAL (Brazilian Portuguese Lyrics)

Manha, tao bonita manha
De um dia feliz che chegou!
O sol no ceu surgiu
E em cada cor brilhou.
Voltou o sonho entao
Ao coraçao.

Depois deste dia feliz,
Nao sei se outro dia virá,
E nossa amanha,
Tao bela afinal amanha
De carnaval.

Canta o meu coraçao.
Alegria voltou. Tao feliz
A manha deste amor.

I went learn how to bake a very good Fruitcake from a good friend at her place on Tuesday evening. Baking is an Art which requires careful, tender and precise calculations. Plus, some secret methods. And the outcome was ... Marvellous!

Thanks to Auntie Theresa. :)
